Case Study 1 - Manufacturing
A top-ten global electronics manufacturer needed the ability to allocate invoice
information with different rates from the carrier based upon the international dialed
number. They wanted to turn their telecom department into a profit center by increasing
the rate of a call when billed back to the individual departments. They specifically
wanted to be able to increase the calls to certain international countries by a
percentage that would vary depending on the country called.
ISSUES

Allocating invoice detail with different costs was very labor intensive.
Excel® did not provide sufficient reporting to accomplish this task.

- See increased revenue based upon the dialed location.
SmartBill Connect's Solution
Recosting: By using the recosting feature, one of the top-ten global
electronics manufacturers was able to create multiple rate entries
for each international location with different percentage mark-ups. These rate
entries were then applied to regional locations in packages, allowing different
offices to call different international locations with unique rate plans.

Case Study 2 - Finance
A well known financial institution came to CTI Group because they had numerous
offices spread throughout the globe. It was management's objective
for each office to receive their own billing detail, yet headquarters needed a copy to
review and pay the invoice. Security and privacy standards dictated that regional
managers should not be able to view other managers' invoice information. It was
necessary for the long distance carrier to implement several bill invoice levels for
the regional offices and to send a complete copy of the bill to headquarters.

The cost and inconvenience of having to create and deliver multiple
copies of invoices to be sent to different offices.

- Allocate invoice detail to regional offices.
- Maintain autonomy for each regional office.
- Provide one master invoice point to headquarters with complete invoice review

SmartBill Connect's Solution
Combination Billing: CTI Group's platform allowed the service provider
to combine invoices that roll-up to a master invoice level while still
maintaining the unique account structures within each invoice. As
invoices are received throughout the monthly billing cycles, they are
matched back to the master invoice level and combined for presentment.
All reports and totals can be run and reviewed at this new master level.
This eliminates the need to create multiple invoices for the same
corporate customers.
Web Access: Corporate customers are able to view their invoices using
their web browser, eliminating the need for paper bills, CDs or
installation of client billing software.

Case Study 3 - Service
A world leader in convenient foods and beverages used SmartBill Connect to allow
users, including executives, to access their invoices from any
location, even remotely.
ISSUES

Multiple copies of invoices were sent to different offices. Electronically
delivered data, via CD, had size and visibility issues. Executives needed
access to invoices at a variety of levels.

- Allow individuals to see the information they need and only that information.
To provide access anytime, anywhere, and provide one master invoice point to headquarters

Web Access: Corporate customers are able to view their invoices using
their web browser, eliminating the need for paper bills or an installation
of client billing software.
Security Manager: Corporate administrators have the ability to create
user accounts with access permissions to different levels of the entire invoice.
Regional managers only have access to information that belongs to them, yet
administrators or finance personnel at headquarters can view the entire invoice.
